Biography
Native of Cameroon, Tob Juland was born in 1972 . His parents were members of the local choir. It was almost automatically that he started singing from young age. His other passion was football. Tob juland was therefore selected by the soccer youth academy where players like Geremi, Rigobert Song, Samuel Eto’o and many orders players of the indomitable Lions got their soccer education . Because of his parents Tob Juland stopped playing soccer. He had a normal education and start working in the banking sector in one of the biggest financial institution in Cameroon.
In year 2000 Tob Juland landed in France and took the direction of the Netherlands where he finally settled.
Tob Juland grew up listening to prestigious musicians like Manu Dibango, Fela kuti, Akendengue, Ekambi Brillant, and many more. He met hip hop in the latest 80s and get fascinated by this type of music. The message behind the music was what attracted him the most. In 2011 he committed his debut album ‘’Etre et Avoir’’.In 2016, he brought out and Ep’s with song as Comme d’hab, Celebrations, Racines .In the this particular song racines , Tob juland invite the african diaspora to keep in mind that there are originally from somewhere and therefore have the duty to help building the respective countries.
This 8 April 2020 Tob Juland released a new album. ‘’Piqûre de rappel’’. 13 songs all composed by him and arranged in France and in The Netherlands. All these songs are available in various digital platforms like spotify, amazon, tidal and many more.
