Biography
Paul Littlewood is a British musician, singer-songwriter, and music producer, originally from Swinton, South Yorkshire. He came to prominence performing and recording as a solo artist, and with a number of bands including Fights, Fallen Trees, and Eastern Seaboard Radio Station. He has released music globally with UK labels Xtra Mile Recordings and Circuit Records, and also US label Three Sixty Records. He currently releases his material with his own DIY label Anklebreka Records.
His releases have been play listed by BBC radio, most recently by BBC Radio 6 Tom Robinson Show, who described his work as, 'Full of wide open spaces & emotional leanings that pull you in like a venus fly trap, linger too long and swoosh, you are his'.
Paul Littlewood's material is largely a project of revolving musicians with the singer-songwriter at its centre. Critics and fans alike have found it a challenge to define his changing sound, usually settling on more general labels such as New wave, lo-fi, folk or alt-country.
2017 has seen Littlewood release single ‘Television’, perform alongside Neil McSweeney (Hudson Records) and Sieben (Redroom Records), and confirm a UK festival appearance at Tramlines Folk Forest stage. A new solo record is on the way and expected to release in early 2018.
Littlewood produces the majority of his own material at Higher Rhythm Studios, Doncaster, where he is in-house engineer and music project coordinator.
