Nasty Jack is an award winning U.M.A Grime MC/Artist and Producer from West London,(URBAN MUSIC AWARD for Girls Love N.A.S.T.Y & Nominated for best Grime Mix tape 2012 to 2013) Jacks prolific and hugely successful career in the urban music industry has spanned over a decade and shows no sign of stopping
Nasty Jack sprung out of Shepherd’s Bush and onto the music scene in 1998, a product of the Drum and bass and early house and garage scene’s. Jack rapidly built a cult following thanks to a series of radio shows and volatile live pa’s on the most influential pirate stations of the time. As a result of this underground exposure legendary record label Locked on records approached Nasty Jack and put out his first single, the old school anthem ‘Bounce’, the tune received rave reviews and the success of this release led to him being signed to Jive records in early 1999.
while hosting shows on underground radio stations such as Flex fm Freak fm Freeze fm Mission Fm Raw Fm and Dajavu in 2004 Nasty Jack enhanced
his musical career by joining the infamous N.A.S.T.Y Crew. In 2005 Nasty Jack came to the attention of the urban community project and management company Gold Seal who aided Jack in achieving a major digital distribution deal and offered production and business support to the budding entrepreneur.
This was shortly followed by his co producing the 2006 club hit “Girls Love N.A.S.T.Y”, the track achieved phenomenal success and acclaim across the industry, reaping awards and play listing across mainstream and pirate radio alike. It also became the first independent UK Grime song to be available to download on ITunes and across the board on all major digital download sites.
Nasty Jack's Four globally distributed albums, song writing, collaborations, edgy content and countless single releases have earned him critical acclaim from leading lights in the industry,
Nasty Jack's first solo album release 'Pimp On Flows' firmly established him as a great of the urban scene. With each of the 21 tracks using a different flow, it demonstrated his production capabilities, vocal dexterity and verbal creativity to devastating effect, and was instantly hailed as a classic and a finely crafted showcase of the full range of Grime music. Featured artists included Griminal, Wretch32 and Stormin with stand out tracks including The Rain and 'Oh Yes', the latter being a favourite on Radio 1Extra and heavily rotated.
Arguably, Nasty jack;s best work is his second solo album entitled 'Shotta Music' which was hosted by Kiss 100's Logan Sama and featured collaborations with urban greats such as Skepta (BBK), Flowdan (Roll Deep) and MC Stormin. More recent highlights include 'I'm Ninja Man', the first release from Jack's forthcoming 'Spacey Wave' album, a venture which in itself promises to indelibly carve a new niche in Grime music history. Jack has been working with Producers like Masro, Paper Boy and Hydrolixx Music
with a recording history in such illustrious studios as Abbey Road and Ealing studio's infamous 'F' Block.
Nasty Jack has performed in live venues across Europe and the UK, such as Ministry of Sound, the O2 Arena and many more
