Biography

Michael Rice is a singer songwriter who is representing the United Kingdom at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, performing the song ‘Bigger Than Us’.

'Bigger Than Us' has already been viewed more than 1 million times on YouTube, and has been streamed more than 500,000 times on Spotify.

Michael is 21 years old, and lives in the town of Hartlepool in Northern England.

Michael came to the attention of the British public through a viral video of him busking a Years And Years song. It was seen by almost a quarter of a million people on YouTube.

Michael participated in and won the first series of the BBC One television show All Together Now in 2018. As the winner he received £50,000. In his first appearance he performed the track ‘Proud Mary’, and so impressive was his performance, that all 100 judges (including Spice Girl Geri Horner) stood up and joined in. In the final he performed ‘Hallelujah’ and ‘Crazy in Love’ before winning the title.
