A few words about a wonderful meeting with a new HiSQ family member.

Erkki Vuokila says:
"The Story So Far was born in the early 1990s from a moment of inspiration around
midnight. I was sitting at my workstation and I was thinking about something. At five in the
morning I had made a demo, which in terms of ideas is similar to the version that has just
been published. The text is also completely unchanged. I don't remember anything , where
this fairy-tale topic popped into my head at the time. The song has been with me for
decades and when I presented it to Peter Engberg, he immediately got excited and
together with Janne Oinas they wrote this version. I had watched Minna Ora for a long
time and we had supported each other in our musical careers, but now it felt like the right
moment to join forces. This song felt just right for that. The arrangement sought the
barracks atmosphere that we all love."

Minna Ora says:
Minna Ora has decades of experience in various band formations as a rock singer and
guitarist and as a songwriter. In addition, he has started a solo career in 2020 with music
that he has made, arranged, recorded and produced himself. The latest single
Myrsky/Storm has gained fame both in Finland and beyond Finland's borders.
"It must have been the year 2022 when I first came across HISQ's production on social
media. My Alimony Pony featuring Maria Hänninen came on and I listened to the song and
wondered what kind of HISQ band this is. Even then I thought that one day I would like to
be as the vocal soloist of this band in one of the songs. I don't know where such a strong
feeling came from, but then I noticed that Erkki had also started following my solo work
and digging into my publications. At some point we started exchanging messages, and
both had thought the same thing. Maybe one day we would collaborate. 2023 in the fall,
Erkki sent me a song he had composed in his youth, and it took me back to my own
teenage years. The Heart-inspired song hit me right away, and I secretly hoped that I
would like to pull this song. After a while, Erkki sent me a message saying that he and the
boys had thought about could this be the next single and would you like to sing it I didn't
think for a second because I already knew the answer. Indeed I will! One of the wonderful
things about being a musician is when you get to collaborate with other musicians. And I'm
really looking forward to this collaboration with the HISQ family!"
