Ebu Gogo

MCM discovered Ebu Gogo while recording in Jakarta with the legendary John Paul Ivan since they were rehearsing in the same building.

When MCM heard one of their demo’s it became obvious straight away there was something very special about Ebu Gogo.

Ebu Gogo are a three piece band and consists of Boy Hamzah (Vocals), Dik Sheehan (Guitar) and Edwin Saputra (Drums) and are based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Boy Hamzah is an Indonesian actor who starred in various films and soap operas. Most notably, he starred in Kata Hati and 7 Manusia Harimau.

Dik Sheehan is the band’s writer and a well respected music engineer who worked with major artists such as Princess Syahrini and Dira Sugandi.

Edwin Saputra completes this trio on drums with a dynamic and beautiful playing style.

The style of Ebu Gogo can be best described as alternative rock where the expressive vocals completely intertwine with their beautiful melodic sound.

MCM produced, mixed and mastered Dark Side in various countries such as Holland, UK and Indonesia giving the song an international sound.

The theme of the song Dark Side can be best described as: “dealing with tense times” This statement has been beautifully captured in the cover artwork.

Next to this debut single MCM and Ebu Gogo are already working on the production of a full length album including two more singles.
