Biography

Traumton was founded in 2013 by the german musician and producer Philipp Handke. Grown up in an artist family of musicians, actors, ballet dancers and painters, he had his first musical lessons at the age of 6 in classical guitar. He got more and more interested in the work of his father, who already produced successfully in the Dance/Pop business. Since he took him to Paris where his acts performed in the main TV shows, Philipp Handke was infected by the power of Dance Music. Being just a little kid in the late 90’s, he had the chance to meet acts like Backstreet Boys, No Mercy or Modern Talking, but Philipp Handke was completely flashed by meeting MC Lyte & Missy Elliot during a TV Show where they performed ‚Cold rock a party‘. In the following time he started hanging around in the studios after school, gaining his early experiences in producing, programming and songwriting, mainly in Rap and Hip Hop. After finishing school, he more and more starts writing tracks in different directions, remixing stuff and experimenting successfully with all kinds of Dance Music.
No wonder that after finishing school, all this finally encouraged him to found his own music label to fulfill his own, innovative musical ideas, with the result that Lukes Club Records was born , followed by several sub-lables for the different genres.
Traumton directly caused waves in the international Dance scene, while he achieved multi-millions of streaming and peaked the charts in several countries. Following this they were asked by Jack Robinson, the author of several world hits of Tina Charles, David Christie, Grace Jones, Meredith Brooks, Stephanie de Monaco and many more, to produce a remake with the original vocals of ‚I love to love‘ by Tina Charles, a million seller of the late 70s. Traumton did it in their unique style, with an outstanding result.
In 2015 Traumton took another smash hit for an official remake - David Christie’s ‚Saddle up‘ from ’82, which they successfully produced for the house music market. For 2016 they made another version of Saddle up, this time in a tropical house style, together with the US rapper Eric Singleton, who gained international success as the rapper of the german group Modern Talking.
