Topper's longevity is unheard of in the music business. The band has been touring and recording for over thirty years, remaining as vital and exciting as they have been from the beginning of their incredible, long run. Originally formed in Atlanta, GA, as an eight piece horn driven funk/jazz/fusion recording project in the late seventies,Topper was poised to become a supergroup along the lines of Earth,Wind & Fire,The Commodores, KC & The Sunshine Band and Tower Of Power. When negotiations with record company management broke down,the group began playing live venues worldwide, continuing to write, record and release original music on their indie record label, Ring Records.
Currently a five piece band, the group can present four different formats, depending on the event,venue, clientele, etc. Topper's Dance/Variety/Party Music format utilizes a massive song list of all genres/decades of music, all performed true to form with high energy, one on one crowd interaction. Topper's vocals and musicianship are second to none!
The band's Classic Rock Tribute Show, Voices Of Rock & Soul showcases short sets of over ten Rock supergroups (Journey, U2, Foreigner, AC/DC, Bad Company, Rod Stewart, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Santana, Jimi Hendrix, James Brown, Wilson Pickett and The Temptations to name a few!) Vocalist Pete George's uncanny ability to nail the characteristics of virtually any legendary singer has to be heard and seen to believe, hence the name 'Voices Of Rock! Topper-Voices Of Rock Live! "The Movie", A Trey Miller Film, is now available on DVD, along with the movie's companion double live CD, Voices Of Rock Live! were released in 2012. Both releases are available at online retailers & all live venues where the band appears.
Topper can present a concert of all original Rock material from their eighteen track compilation album, Only For The Money-Deluxe Edition. The album has been distributed worldwide in both CD and digital downloads at all major music retailers. Topper's music has received airplay on FM and internet radio stations for over fifteen years.

David Rodé / Pete George / TOPPER-VOICES UNPLUGGED

Guitarist,Vocalist, David Rodé and Singer, Keyboardist, Pete George have been mainstays of the Atlanta,GA based band, Topper for over twenty-five years. David's signature screaming blues oriented guitar solos and Pete's world class five octave range vocals have always been focal points of Topper's legendary sound.
The two veteran musicians have been songwriting partners since the beginning of their long collaboration in 1986. Pete and David can also present an acoustic duo, featuring their original compositions, Blues, Roots, Pop, Rock and Country material. The duo doesn't rely on backing tracks, sequencing or any type of 'canned' accompaniment. David uses two acoustic guitars (6 & 12 string) and a Roland virtual guitar and synthesizer set up, giving him the ability to call up strings, banjos, fiddles and ambient background sounds. Pete plays keyboards, giving 'Voices' a full, intimate sound canvas. Their tight, two part vocal harmonies are the direct result of singing together in Topper, always a vocally, harmonic group, for so many years!
