Biography
Sam Battle, otherwise known as LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER, is a multi-talented solo artist, experimental singer/songwriter, composer, inventor of musical electronics and synthesizers, self-proclaimed Eurovision fan, and popular content creator based in Kent.
LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER burst onto the scene in 2014 performing in the indie rock band ZIBRA. The band released four EPs and performed at Glastonbury in 2015 for BBC Introducing, before going their separate ways in 2016. Since then, he launched his flourishing solo career in the electronic and synth genre, which has seen him play to packed venues across the UK and Europe, release a plethora of singles, albums, and EPs, produce and co-write music for other artists, and recently return from a multi-date tour across Germany.
After launching his YouTube channel in 2013, LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER has amassed over 85 million views and 1.4 million combined subscribers and followers across his various social accounts. He has formed a loyal community of followers who enthusiastically follow his passion of skilfully creating his musical inventions, and has earned viral success building and playing unusual and eccentric electronic instruments; notably, organs made from Furbies and Game Boys, synthesizer bicycles, and flame throwing keyboards.
LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER’s unparalleled credentials in the world of synthesizers and electronics has led him to deliver a TED Talk discussing how he bought these outlandish inventions to life, release his very own video game, receive a Guinness World Record for building the world’s largest drone synthesizer, and he has even curated and opened a museum displaying his curious creations.
LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER will be representing the United Kingdom at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria In May 2026.
