Dollyhood Records, LLc was founded in 1997, the mission of Dollyhood is to “oversee the entire process of developing new and diverse music – including discovering and cultivating new talent, writing, producing, recording, promoting artists, and disseminating music through various media outlet worldwide through it’s Distribution “The Orchard who’s owned by Sony Music.”

The Company founder demonstrated a history of success in the music industry beginning in 1997 with the creation of Dollyhood Records. In 1998, the record label achieved its first hit with the release of “The Dirty Bird.” Recorded by Sonny Spoon, this song celebrated the Atlanta Falcons’ Super Bowl run, and Dollyhood served as the official record label for the franchise. In 2005, Dollyhood was selected by Cherry Blossom Chairman Allen Freeman to serve as promoters for the Diamond Rio and Trace Adkins concert. Dollyhood continued to mark it’s brand by attaching it’s artist with some of today’s biggest hip-hop artists: Young Jeezy, T.I., 2-Chain, Cee-Lo, Kendrick Lamar, Gucci Mane, to name a few. Dollyhood also participated in a city-wide collaboration of approximately 20 organizations to create the song and video entitled “A Little More Soul.” This project celebrated the musical heritage of Macon and was the recipient of three ADDY Awards for advertising.
