Biography
Ben E. Davis, a dynamic singer and songwriter born in Los Angeles and currently based in London, seamlessly blends pop, soul and dance genres to create his distinct musical style. Influenced by icons such as Michael Jackson, Tina Turner and George Michael, his musical journey began with a standout national anthem performance for the Phoenix Suns in high school. While completing his studies at UCLA, he recorded “Philosophy” a track written by Ryan Tedder (lead singer of One Republic), featured in the film Step Up. Despite briefly exploring the corporate world, Ben's true passion for music led him to join the renowned party band the LA ALLSTARS, where he honed his live performance skills on global stages, supporting artists such as Katy Perry and Train.
In 2014, Ben made a bold move to London, where he quickly found himself singing back-up vocals for Union J on the X-Factor UK and supporting artists like Fleur East at Pride in 2017. The pinnacle of his career in 2021 included a performance at the Royal Albert Hall with Some Voices choir, supporting Keala Settle (from the musical film The Greatest Showman) for the Royal Variety Performance attended by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. As an independent artist, Ben has garnered attention for his singles like "Lonely Without You," remixed by Liam Keegan (known for his work with Sia and Carly Rae Jepsen), and "One More Day," the latter featured in the Nintendo Switch game The Seven Chambers.
Looking forward to 2024, Ben is set to unveil "American Boy In London," a song co-written with Sting that puts a fresh spin on the classic “Englishman In New York.” This creative reinterpretation promises to offer a unique perspective on the classic while showcasing Ben’s distinctive musical style.
