Biography
My name is William McKechnie alias Wild Bill, and I am a variety entertainer in care homes. I also write poetry, and short stories, compose music, and write song lyrics.
I founded wheelchair line dancing in the United Kingdom in 1997, Germany in 1998, and France in 2000.
Some of my poetry gained letters of appreciation from Buckingham Palace, 10 Downing Street, Samaritans, NHS choices, BBC Children in Need, Breast Cancer Charity, and Prostate Cancer UK to name but a few.
I self-published an eBook called saving lives in rhyme and NHS Choices are happy for me to link them back to their website. Other eBooks are tales of Nimnam, The Cloak, Jokar Ma Aresha and Heaven or Hell?
In 2013, I composed a Viennese Waltz which was included on the 6th International World Peace CD called Ray of Hope
I have released 4 albums, 3 EP'S and 16 singles on Apple iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, etc covering a very wide genre.
My christmas songs have been awarded commended entry and semi-finalist in the UK songwriting contest 2013 and 2020. I also have others which have gained commended entries and semi-finalist position.
All my music is copyrighted, registered with PPL, PRS, Millward Brown, and commercially released to the public.
