With several global hits on their name in the 70’s their music has been and still is heard and felt all around the world. After the Motown, Ric-Tic deal the group signed with WestboundRecords.

To this day their hits such as Feel The Need In Me, Do Me Right and You Want It You got It are still popular the world over. Emerald James Mitchell Jr. was also a member of the Floaters and co-wrote their global number one hit Float On.

Back in those days The Detroit Emeralds toured the world with the biggest names such as Sammy Davis Jr. and James Brown.
Fast forward a few decades and The Detroit Emeralds signed with MCM Global Team.
Legendary Detroit bassist and producer Jerome Rimson who connected both parties is a producer on the new recordings.

Founding member, writer and lead vocalist of the Detroit Emeralds, James Mitchell Jr. personally selected three new Emeralds as he wishes the legacy to continue. He still contributes his vocals to all new recordings!

All three new members are established artists themselves. Lavel “Vel” Jackson, Eddie Cameron and Dewayne “Loc” Lomax complete the quartet with James Mitchell Jr.

The group has been working on 5 new tracks that form an EP of which Victory is the first single. The new song is written by all four members and produced by MCM Global Team.
