Biography
Ross Davis is a songwriter/musician whose musical styles range from adult contemporary to folk rock. His debut album Better Late Than Never showcases Ross’s genteel vocal and keyboard performances coupled with the electrifying guitar of Grammy-winning guitarist Brent Mason. This was followed by the album Yellow Brick Road, again featuring Mason with the addition of Juno Award-nominated Canadian songwriter/musician Annabelle Chvostek on fiddle.
In recent years, Ross has been playing the acoustic guitar more, while still retaining his piano roots. During this time, he released several singles ranging from originals such as “Snow Angels (Remix)” to a cover of “Love at the Five and Dime” (Nanci Griffith). In the summer of 2023, Ross released the This Town EP, which features two original songs including the title cut, along with two popular cover songs such as the Beatles’ “With a Little Help from My Friends,” featuring Brent Mason on electric guitar. Ross performs live at clubs from time to time, mainly in the Midwest US in places such as Indianapolis, Indiana (his hometown); Nashville, Tennessee; and elsewhere in the region. Ross’s musical influences range from rock/pop artists Phil Collins and Rod Stewart, to folk/country artists Mary Chapin Carpenter and Nanci Griffith.
