Biography
DC native **JusBam** is a lyrical titan who came up through the underground battle scene, shattering expectations and making history every step of the way. She became the first female to make the finals—and win—DC's largest emcee battle competition. That dominance landed her on MTV's *True Life: I’m a Battle Rapper*, where she broke the mold again by becoming the first woman to ever make a Rap Olympic team, finishing 4th overall. That syndicated experience showcased her skills to millions.
JusBam established her independent brand in 2005 with the launch of Love is Life Entertainment. After years of building, she dropped her solo debut *WhoIam* (2015), delivering rap music powered by soulful, conscious lyrics. Her recent project, *Working Contradiction* (featuring singles "Use Me Up" and "Instructions"), takes it back to classic Hip-Hop, even dropping a capella and instrumental versions for the DJs and B-Boy/B-Girls.
Now based in Nashville, TN, JusBam continues to headline venues across the eastern region. Her unique charisma and true lyrical ability as an emcee and spoken word artist set her apart. In summer 2025, she officially signed with Groove Elation Records. Her first release under the new deal, "Hey Listen," is a tribute to Old School Queens like Latifa, McLyte, and LeftEye, providing listeners with a taste of the exceptional lyricism to come on her next album.
